Learn what the six combat Attributes represent, then browse every confirmed character grouped by Attribute, weapon, rarity, and release version.

The six damage types

What is an Attribute?

An Attribute is the damage type tied to a character's combat identity in Wuthering Waves. It is separate from Sonata Effects, which come from equipped Echo sets. A character's weapon does not decide their Attribute, and the same weapon type appears across several Attributes.

The descriptions below summarize what each Attribute represents in the game. They do not mean that every attack automatically applies a burn, freeze, or another status effect.

The Attribute selector presents all six combat types in one place. On smaller screens, swipe horizontally to inspect the full interface.
How this page stays current

The roster is read directly from Arab Wuwa's maintained character data, so names, weapons, rarities, and versions are not retyped by hand. Characters whose Attribute, weapon, or release version is still marked TBA are omitted.

Current confirmed roster

Characters by Attribute

Each group keeps the canonical newest-first order from Arab Wuwa's character data. Rover forms are listed separately because every form has its own Attribute.

Quick answers

Attribute FAQ

Is an Attribute the same as a Sonata Effect?
No. An Attribute identifies the character's damage type, while Sonata Effects come from the Echo sets they equip.
Why does Rover appear more than once?
Each Rover form has a different Attribute, so every confirmed form appears as its own roster entry.
Why are some character cards marked Coming Soon?
The character and Attribute data are confirmed, but that character's Arab Wuwa guide page is not available yet.
Are characters with unconfirmed details included?
No. This page shows only characters whose Attribute, weapon, and release version are confirmed in the current data.
