If you are using
Mornye in the team, Denia does not need
Reel of Spliced Memories. That set gives the team 20 Tune Break Boost, but Mornye gives the team Off-Tune Buildup Rate instead, which activates Denia's passive: while Denia is in Entropy Shift states and Resonance Mode - Tune Strain, all Resonators in the team gain 10 Tune Break Boost. For every 10% Off-Tune Buildup Rate above 100%, that Tune Break Boost increases by 8, up to 40 extra. The calculator derives this from Denia's current Off-Tune Buildup Rate.
Reel of Spliced Memories is included so Denia can still be played with
Luuk Herssen even if you do not have Mornye. Luuk Herssen needs 60 Tune Break Boost to activate all of his passives. He already has 10, Denia gives 10, and Reel of Spliced Memories gives 20, for a total of 40 out of 60. It is not the full requirement, but it is still useful.
If Denia is on the same team as
Aemeath, Denia can be played in Fusion Burst mode with
Chromatic Foam,
Moonlit Clouds, or
Flaming Clawprint. Check the Teams section below or the Team DPS page to compare the team's performance based on the Sonata Set Denia has equipped.
In some scenarios,
Pact of Neonlight Leap can be used, but it is not usually the best option. Check the Teams section below or the Team DPS page to see how the team performs when Denia uses that set.
Most Fusion Burst damage is counted in Aemeath's rotation, not Denia's. The sequence data is split into two parts: one for Tune Strain and one for Fusion Burst mode. Please read the comments in the sequence section carefully. For echoes and weapons, Denia is shown without choosing a specific form so the page can compare her general damage. Damage for Fusion Burst mode and Tune Strain mode is handled in the Teams section and on the Team DPS page.
These values are for Denia in Fusion Burst mode. Sequence 2 includes Fusion RES reduction, but that effect needs time to stack, so the chart is based on the first rotation.
Erosion Field DMG is counted as 7 hits before Sequence 4 and 9 hits from Sequence 4 onward. These hit counts are pre-release estimates. Once Denia is released, the real count may be slightly lower or higher, but 9 hits is a reasonable estimate for a 26-28 second rotation.
The calculations use the first rotation with Aemeath and Chisa, without Aemeath's Outro Skill buffs because this is the opening rotation.
Denia inflicts 6 Fusion Burst stacks during her rotation: 2 from Intro Skill and 4 from Resonance Liberation. Erosion Field then adds 2 stacks every 4 seconds, for about 14 more stacks and 20 total stacks. With Aemeath in the team, Fusion Burst damage triggers whenever the target reaches 6 stacks, so this chart includes 4 Fusion Burst hits. With Chisa in the team, Fusion Burst damage increases significantly.
These numbers were prepared before Denia's release. Some stack or hit-count details may change after release, but the general damage idea should stay the same.

Denia is a 5-Star Fusion Rectifier and a specialized Fusion support/sub-DPS. Her value is not only her personal damage, but how much she improves teams built around Fusion Burst and Tune Strain. She applies important status effects, buffs team damage, and adds off-field Fusion damage through Erosion Field.
Denia is team-dependent. In the right team, she can be extremely valuable. In a generic Fusion team, her value drops because a large part of her kit needs teammates who can actually benefit from Fusion Burst, Tune Strain, or Off-Tune mechanics.
Build Denia if you play Aemeath Fusion Burst teams, Luuk Herssen Tune Strain teams, or teams that use Mornye to increase Off-Tune Buildup Rate which we don't have currently, we only have Aemeath and Luuk Herssen. If your account does not use those characters, she becomes much less important, especially because Lynae can already cover many account needs well.
At S0, Denia already works as a strong Sub-DPS. She does not need sequences to function. For low spenders, S0 is enough. If you want vertical investment, S2 is the first major stopping point because it improves both her Fusion Burst and Tune Strain value.
I do not like using team-dependent as a negative label for Denia, because she is excellent in the teams she is made for. Like most sub-DPS characters, she has specific teams, and being able to play with two of the strongest DPS characters in the game is a huge bonus for her. But when judging F2P value, especially when many players already have Lynae, yes, she is still team-dependent.
Denia supports two team directions. In Fusion Burst mode, she helps apply Fusion Burst, gives the team 30% Fusion DMG Bonus while in Entropy Shift states, and her Outro amplifies Fusion Burst damage against nearby targets by 60% for 30 seconds. This is why she works well beside Aemeath.
In Tune Strain mode, she becomes more important for Luuk Herssen-style teams. She can inflict Tune Strain - Shifting, respond to Tune Strain - Interfered, increase the maximum Tune Strain - Interfered stack limit, and provide Tune Break Boost. Her Tune Break Boost starts at 10, then scales higher when the team has Off-Tune Buildup Rate above 100%, up to 40 extra. Right now, that higher scaling needs Mornye in the team.
Her playstyle moves between Stagecraft Form and Breakdown Form. Final Act switches her into Breakdown Form, and after building enough Conformal Charge she can use Final Act - Breakdown Form to return to Stagecraft Form and create Erosion Field. Erosion Field lasts 30 seconds, pulls enemies every 4 seconds, deals Fusion damage over time, and counts as Resonance Liberation damage.
Denia's standard rotation is:
Intro > Basic 4 > Skill > Liberation > Basic 1, 2, 3, 4 > Skill 1 > Skill 2 > Liberation > Echo > Outro
This takes around 6.35 seconds, or around 6.20 seconds if the first Skill is cancelled into Liberation quickly.
A faster and not hard version:
Intro > Basic 4 > Skill > Liberation > Basic 1, 2 > Dash > Basic 1, 2 > Skill 1 > Skill 2 > Liberation > Echo > Outro
This version takes around 5.78 seconds, down to around 5.49 seconds with faster execution.
Denia's damage is heavily Liberation-focused: Resonance Liberation is 88.48% of her listed damage, while Echo is 5.87%, Basic Attack is 2.2%, Resonance Skill is 1.8%, and Intro Skill is 1.66%. Do not build or judge her like a Basic Attack carry.
Sub-stat priority: Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK%, Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus, and enough Energy Regen to keep the rotation stable.
Her best weapon is Forged Dwarf Star (her signature weapons). It gives Crit Rate, ATK, Resonance Liberation DMG after Fusion Burst or Tune Strain - Shifting, and a team ATK increase after the team applies those mechanics. It is her best option, but not mandatory. In the Luuk Herssen / Denia / Mornye weapon study, it raised Luuk's personal damage by 6.96% compared with the baseline group of alternative Denia weapons. Good alternatives include Stringmaster, Cosmic Ripples, Augment, and Radiant Dawn.
For personal damage, Denia's strongest listed Echo setup is Flaming Clawprint with Lioness of Glory. Use Crit DMG or Crit Rate on Cost 4, Fusion DMG on one Cost 3, Fusion DMG or ATK on the other Cost 3, and ATK on both Cost 1 Echoes.
Denia's Echo set should be chosen by team role, not only by her personal damage chart. Reel of Spliced Memories should not be treated as an Aemeath set, because its Tune Break Boost does not directly benefit Aemeath's Fusion Burst damage.
Aemeath is Denia's main Fusion Burst partner. Denia applies Fusion Burst stacks through Intro, Liberation, and Erosion Field, then Aemeath benefits from triggering Fusion Burst damage during the rotation. In this role, some of Denia's value appears inside Aemeath's damage instead of Denia's own damage number.
Aemeath / Denia / Chisa is one of the strongest direct Fusion Burst directions because Chisa significantly increases Fusion Burst damage. Aemeath / Denia / Lupa is also a good and very effective Team DPS option, listed at 81,899 DPS, but it has no healer. That means it can work just fine, but real runs may require more dodges, which can waste time and lower practical DPS if the fight is messy.
Aemeath / Denia / Mornye is more support-oriented. It can feel more comfortable depending on the account, and if Mornye is S1, the team can also access the 40% DMG Amp.
Luuk Herssen is Denia's main Tune Strain partner. Luuk Herssen / Denia / Mornye is her most natural Tune Strain home because Mornye gives Off-Tune Buildup Rate, which improves Denia's Tune Break Boost passive. In current Team DPS data, this team slightly favors Moonlit Clouds at 80,368 DPS compared with 79,679 DPS on Reel of Spliced Memories.
Without Mornye, Reel of Spliced Memories becomes more useful. Luuk needs 60 Tune Break Boost for all of his passives; Luuk has 10, Denia gives 10, and Reel adds 20, bringing the setup to 40. It still does not fully complete the requirement, but it helps more when Mornye is missing. If Reel is already built, it usually is not worth rebuilding only to swap back to Moonlit Clouds for a small difference.
Denia can still work, but she becomes much less impressive. Her kit is not designed to be a generic Fusion DPS only. If you remove the characters who benefit from Fusion Burst, Tune Strain, or Off-Tune mechanics, you remove a large part of what makes her valuable.
Denia is complete at S0. Her base kit already gives her the important pieces: Fusion Burst mode, Tune Strain mode, Erosion Field, team buffs, and mode-based Outro effects.
Denia is worth pulling if you are building around Aemeath, Luuk Herssen, or Mornye. In those teams, she is a real enabler, not just another sub-DPS.
For F2P players, Denia is a good pull only if your account can use her properly. If not, she is not worth forcing.
