Review
Denia review
Review updated:
Denia is a 5-Star Fusion Rectifier support and sub-DPS whose value comes from enabling teams built around Fusion Burst or Tune Strain. She applies the relevant statuses, buffs team damage, groups targets, and contributes off-field Fusion damage through Erosion Field.
Denia is team-dependent by design. She is excellent when the carry directly uses one of her two modes, but her value drops in generic Fusion teams that cannot use Fusion Burst, Tune Strain, or Off-Tune mechanics.
Quick Verdict
Build Denia for Aemeath Fusion Burst teams, Luuk Herssen Tune Strain teams, or Mornye-assisted Off-Tune setups. At S0, Denia already works as a complete support and sub-DPS; she does not need sequences to function.
For vertical investment, S2 is the first major stopping point because it improves both of her mode-specific team directions. S3 is a major personal-damage node, while S6 is her ceiling rather than a requirement.
How Denia Works
In Fusion Burst mode, Denia helps apply Fusion Burst, gives the team 30% Fusion DMG Bonus during Entropy Shift, and amplifies Fusion Burst damage near the active Resonator by 60% through her Outro. This is the mode built for Aemeath teams.
In Tune Strain mode, Denia applies Tune Strain - Shifting, responds to Tune Strain - Interfered, and raises the team's Tune Break Boost through Etched Colors: a flat 10 points for every Resonator while she is in Entropy Shift, plus a conversion granting 8 more points for every 10% Off-Tune Buildup Rate above 100%, up to 40. She also raises the target's Tune Strain - Interfered stack cap by 1 while she is in the team. Her Outro gives the incoming Resonator 15% All DMG Amplification for 16 seconds, upgraded to 40% once that Resonator inflicts Tune Strain - Shifting — it reaches one character at a time and ends early if that character swaps out or Denia changes modes.
Her standard grounded route is:
Intro > Basic 4 > Skill > Liberation > Basic 1, 2, 3, 4 > Skill 1 > Skill 2 > Liberation > Echo > Outro
Her alternate route uses a dash to reset the early Basic chain:
Intro > Basic 4 > Skill > Liberation > Basic 1, 2 > Dash > Basic 1, 2 > Skill 1 > Skill 2 > Liberation > Echo > Outro
Build Priorities
Denia's listed general damage is heavily Liberation-focused: Resonance Liberation is 88.48%, Echo is 5.87%, Basic Attack is 2.20%, Resonance Skill is 1.80%, and Intro Skill is 1.66%. Do not build or judge her like a Basic Attack carry.
Her tested targets are 75-82% Crit Rate, 275-290% Crit DMG, 130% Energy Regen, and 20-35% Resonance Liberation DMG. The ATK target is 2430 with Fusion/ATK Cost 3 pieces or 2160 with double Fusion Cost 3 pieces.
Forged Dwarf Star is her strongest listed weapon. It matters beyond her own damage: it grants Resonators in the team 24% ATK for 15 seconds when they inflict Tune Strain - Shifting while her Liberation bonus is active, and in the preserved Luuk personal-damage study his first-rotation damage is 1,561,844 with it against 1,447,870 without — nearly 8% of his damage in that test comes from Denia's weapon, not his own. The page also preserves the full Luuk / Denia / Mornye weapon-options table, because her signature weapon can affect more than Denia's own ranking.
Best Teams and Echo Choices
Choose Denia's Sonata Set for the team role rather than her personal chart alone. Flaming Clawprint is the strongest listed personal-damage route with Lioness of Glory, while Chromatic Foam, Moonlit Clouds, Reel of Spliced Memories, and Pact of Neonlight Leap cover different support needs.
Reel of Spliced Memories should not be treated as an Aemeath set. Its Tune Break Boost is aimed at the Tune Strain direction, and it becomes more useful for Luuk when Mornye is missing.
Aemeath Fusion Burst teams
Aemeath is Denia's main Fusion Burst partner. Denia adds stacks through Intro, Liberation, and Erosion Field, while part of the resulting Fusion Burst damage is counted in Aemeath's rotation rather than Denia's personal total — in the tested teams Fusion Burst detonates 7 times per rotation, 2 during Denia's own rotation and 5 during Aemeath's.
Chisa and Lupa test nearly tied for the third slot: Chisa brings sustain plus her own damage, while Lupa brings more Fusion amplification (though the Basic Attack half of her Outro is wasted on Aemeath). Use the live Team DPS cards for the current tested rankings and equipment.
Luuk Herssen Tune Strain teams
Luuk Herssen is Denia's main Tune Strain partner, and the math explains why. His passives ask for 60 Tune Break Boost: his base 10, plus Denia's flat 10, plus the conversion — Mornye's Syntony Field raises his Off-Tune Buildup Rate by 50%, which is 5 brackets of 8, the full 40 — landing on exactly 60 only when both of them are in the team. That is also why Denia's set flips: with Mornye, Reel's 20 points are already covered, so Moonlit Clouds pulls ahead, and its Outro ATK lands on Luuk because Denia Outros directly into him.
Without Mornye, Reel becomes more valuable because it adds 20 Tune Break Boost. Luuk, Denia, and Reel reach 40 of Luuk's 60-point requirement, so the set helps even though it does not finish the condition.
Lynae is the tested alternative for Denia's slot here. She deals real personal damage and can inflict Tune Strain - Shifting, but she does not convert Off-Tune Buildup Rate into Tune Break Boost the way Etched Colors does, and her versions of the team sit behind Denia's in the tested data. She is the answer when you do not own Denia, not a replacement for her.
Without Aemeath, Luuk, or Mornye
Denia can still function, but she becomes much less impressive because the team is no longer using the mechanics that define her kit.
If your account does not use Fusion Burst, Tune Strain, or Off-Tune teams, a broader support is usually the better investment.
Sequence Value
Denia is complete at S0. Her sequences improve comfort, team amplification, and personal damage without fixing a missing base-kit function.
- S1: Adds 30% Crit DMG, interruption immunity to important Breakdown actions, and immediate Entropy Shift states when entering combat.
- S2: The first major support stopping point. Fusion Burst mode adds a 50% Fusion DMG Bonus to the inflictor and Fusion RES ignore for Denia; Tune Strain mode adds 20 Tune Break Boost and immediately raises the target's Off-Tune Level.
- S3: Raises Final Act - Breakdown Form's multiplier, increases Dark Core capacity, improves resource generation, and adds a large max-Core multiplier to Stagecraft Basic 4 or Phantom Bubble.
- S4: Reduces Erosion Field's attack interval from 4 seconds to 3 seconds.
- S5: Adds 100% to Final Act - Stagecraft Form's damage.
- S6: Adds 60% ATK and 60% Fusion DMG Bonus during Entropy Shift, strengthens the Fusion Burst trigger, and adds Tune Strain - Interfered applications in Tune Strain mode.
Pull Value
Denia is worth pulling when your account can use one of her dedicated mechanics. She is an enabler first and a generic Fusion sub-DPS second.
Pull or build Denia if:
- You play Aemeath and want a dedicated Fusion Burst support.
- You play Luuk Herssen and want a dedicated Tune Strain partner.
- You use Mornye and can convert Off-Tune Buildup Rate into more Tune Break Boost.
- You want grouping, off-field damage, and mode-specific amplification in one slot.
Skip or delay Denia if:
- Your teams do not use Fusion Burst, Tune Strain, or Off-Tune mechanics.
- You want one universal support who fits most carries.
- You would need to break a stronger established core to use her.
- Your current priority is a main DPS or sustain character.
