Relative damage
The calculations use perfect Cost 4 Echo main stats: Crit DMG when the weapon provides Crit Rate, Crit Rate when the weapon provides Crit DMG, and Crit Rate when the weapon provides neither.

Blazing Brilliance R1
ATK 587Crit DMG 48.6%
Changli's weapon is good for Rover Spectro, as Rover Spectro has a lot of damage considered Skill DMG. The ATK% and CRIT DMG% are also very good for Rover Spectro. It's perfect when using Rover Spectro as main DPS with the Eternal Radiance set, as it provides 20% Crit Rate, and Sequence 1 in Rover Spectro provides 15% Crit Rate as well. With this weapon providing 48% Crit DMG, it is perfect for Rover along with the 56% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus.
Weapon effect

Emerald of Genesis R1
ATK 587Crit Rate 24.3%
The most important stat in this weapon is the Crit Rate, but as we mentioned earlier, Spectro Rover as main DPS should use Changli's weapon because there is a huge Crit Rate that Rover can get from the Eternal Radiance set and Sequence 1. So, this weapon is not recommended for Rover Spectro as main DPS, but it can be used if the Cost 4 Echo is Crit DMG, of course. But it is perfect for Rover Spectro as sub-DPS because it provides a lot of Energy Regen, which is very important for Rover Spectro, and the ATK% buff is also very good for Rover Spectro. The Crit Rate is not high in most cases because not all the builds for Rover Spectro have Crit Rate. In this case, the Crit Rate from this weapon will be very good. Having Energy Regen from this weapon is good because it will make the build easier, and in some cases and rotations, Rover Spectro can spam the Liberation.
Weapon effect

Lunar Cutter R5
ATK 412ATK% 30.3%
This weapon is good for characters that do not spend time in the field, as the stacks will keep reducing. But in case the enemies are dying quickly, this weapon can be very good. It is ideal for hybrid characters that finish their rotations quickly, but it is not recommended for main characters that aim to spend a long time in the field.
Weapon effect

Endless Collapse R5
ATK 462ATK% 18.2%
This weapon will provide Energy Regen which is good for almost any character but is especially useful for characters that have energy problems. The ATK% buff is also very good, and the 20s cooldown is not a problem for most characters. This weapon is often inferior to Commando of Conviction for DPS, but it is still a great F2P 4★ option for characters who need the energy boost. Realistically however, only consider this option over Commando of Conviction if you have energy problems on your character.
Weapon effect

Commando of Conviction R5
ATK 412ATK% 30.3%
This weapon is better than Endless Collapse for most characters (if Energy Regen is good), as it provides a strong ATK% buff that is very useful for DPS characters. The 15s duration is also very good, allowing characters to make full use of their Intro skill. It is an exceptional all-around generic Sword gaining its bonus close to unconditionally as most Resonators almost always aim to make use of their Intro skill and very few characters spend more than 15 seconds on field during their duration.
Weapon effect

Lumingloss R5
ATK 387ATK% 36.4%
This weapon is great if you are looking for basic and heavy attack buffs. It provides a strong buff to both types of attacks, making it a great choice for characters that rely on these attacks. The 10s duration is also very good, allowing characters to make full use of their Resonance Skill. However, if the character does not use their Skill often, this weapon can lose value. It is a great option for characters that use their Skill multiple times per rotation, but for Main DPS characters who take up a lot of field time and don’t use their Skill often, this sword can lose value.

Transform into Impermanence Heron to fly up and smack down, dealing 310.56% Havoc DMG. Long press to stay as Impermanence Heron and continuously spit flames, each attack dealing 55.73% Havoc DMG. Once the initial attack lands on any enemy, the current character regains 10 Resonance Energy. If the current character uses their Outro Skill within the next 15s, the next character’s damage dealt will be boosted by 12% for 15s.
Activate the protection of Bell-Borne Geochelone. Deal Glacio DMG based on 145.92% of the current character's DEF to nearby enemies, and obtain a Bell-Borne Shield that lasts for 15s The Bell-Borne Shield provides 50.00% DMG Reduction and 10.00% DMG Boost for the current team members, and disappears after the current character is hit for 3 times.

Rover Spectro review
Review updated:
Rover Spectro is a 5-Star Spectro Sword sub-DPS from Version 1.0, and he is the free Rover form every account already owns. His whole kit serves one job: applying large amounts of Spectro Frazzle and keeping those stacks on the enemy. He does that through the Diminutive Sound gauge, the Forte-enhanced Skill Resonating Spin, the stack-hold effect Shimmer, and Echoing Orchestra, which applies 6 Spectro Frazzle stacks in one Liberation.
He is neither a conventional support nor a carry. In both tested teams he deals about 16% of the team's damage, specifically 16.42% and 16.02%, from under 5 seconds of field time per rotation. His solo damage breakdown is Resonance Liberation 35%, Resonance Skill 32%, Heavy Attack 9%, Spectro Frazzle 8%, 5% each from Basic Attack, Echo, and Intro, and Outro 1%.
The live Team DPS section is the authority for Rover Spectro's current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, equipment, and rotations. It updates from the validated Team DPS projection instead of freezing those mutable results in this review.
Quick Verdict
There is nothing to pull. Rover Spectro and all six sequence nodes are free through story and exploration progress. Every account can eventually reach S6 without spending anything, which is why both tested teams use him at S6. The only real decision is whether he deserves Echo pieces and a usable sword.
The answer is yes if you play a Spectro Frazzle carry. His two tested teams use Phoebe or Zani as the main DPS. Outside that archetype he has no tested home, and both current teams sit in the lower part of the validated projection.
His number 1 team is Phoebe, Rover Spectro, and Shorekeeper. He is a cheap, short-field-time enabler whose value comes from Frazzle volume, Shimmer, and free sequences rather than premium account investment.
How Rover Spectro Works
Diminutive Sound, Resonating Spin, and Shimmer
Diminutive Sound holds up to 100 points. The Normal Attack chain and Heavy Attack: Aftertune restore it on hit, while Intro Skill Waveshock restores it when cast. The tested opener uses the Heavy Attack chain for roughly half the gauge, then the Intro supplies the other half on Rover's next entry.
When Diminutive Sound is above 50, the Skill becomes Resonating Spin. It consumes 50 Diminutive Sound, deals 129.08% x2 at Forte level 10 as Resonance Skill damage, and applies 2 Spectro Frazzle stacks plus Shimmer.
Shimmer prevents Spectro Frazzle stacks from decreasing over time. It lasts 9 seconds at Forte level 10 and adds no damage by itself. Its purpose is to preserve Rover's stacks until the carry takes the field.
After Resonating Spin, Basic Attack casts Resonating Echoes, a forward chain also counted as Resonance Skill damage. Reticence increases that follow-up by 60%, explaining why Skill damage is such a large part of his personal profile despite his short field time.
Liberation and the remaining kit
Echoing Orchestra costs 125 Resonance Energy, has a 20-second cooldown, and deals 198.81% + 675.96% at level 10 after a short channel. It applies 6 Spectro Frazzle stacks at once, making the Liberation the most important Frazzle delivery in his loop.
- Silent Listener grants 15% ATK for 5 seconds after Heavy Attack: Resonance. The Heavy opener therefore fills the Forte gauge and buffs Rover's own damage.
- Outro Skill Instant creates a stasis area around the incoming character over 3 seconds. This is crowd control, not a damage buff; his handover buffs come from equipment.
Tested rotation
The opener and repeating loop are identical in both tested teams:
Opener: Heavy > Enhanced Heavy > Skill (Resonating Spin) > swap to Shorekeeper
Main loop, about 4.66 seconds: Intro > Liberation > Skill (Resonating Spin) > Echo > Outro
The stack count explains the design: 2 from the opening Spin, 6 from the Liberation, and 2 from the second Spin equal exactly 10. The page's Spectro Frazzle table starts at 30% for 1 stack, adds 24.39% per further stack, and reaches 249.51% at 10 stacks. Eternal Radiance also asks for exactly 10 stacks, which both tested carries use.
The site's longer rotation version inserts Resonating Echoes after each Resonating Spin. It is free extra Resonance Skill damage with Reticence's 60% increase and is worth using whenever the swap timing allows it.
Build Priorities
Substat priority: Crit Rate > Crit DMG > ATK% > Resonance Skill DMG Bonus > Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus > Energy Regen.
The low Crit Rate and high Crit DMG targets come from a Crit DMG Cost 4 paired with Emerald of Genesis and its 24.3% Crit Rate. That setup lands at 48% Crit Rate and 330% Crit DMG before S1 adds 15% Crit Rate for 7 seconds whenever he casts Resonating Slashes or Resonating Spin. Because S1 is free, do not over-farm Crit Rate on his Echoes.
The 125% Energy Regen target is almost free. The 100% base, 10% from Moonlit Clouds 2-piece, and 12.8% from Emerald of Genesis reach 122.8% before substats. With another weapon, free S3 adds 20%, taking the base plus set to 130% without Energy Regen substats.
Talent priority: Normal Attack, Forte Circuit, and Resonance Liberation to level 10; Resonance Skill and Intro Skill to level 6. Forte level also controls Shimmer's duration.
Echoes
Use 5-piece Moonlit Clouds. Its 2-piece grants 10% Energy Regen, and its 5-piece gives 22.5% ATK to the next Resonator for 15 seconds after Rover uses his Outro.
Impermanence Heron completes the handover. If Rover uses his Outro within 15 seconds of the Echo cast, the next character receives 12% damage amplification for 15 seconds. His rotation places Echo immediately before Outro, covering a 12-to-14-second carry window. Bell-Borne Geochelone is the alternative for its shield and 10% team damage increase.
These are equipment buffs, not native kit buffs. Any Moonlit Clouds holder using Impermanence Heron could pass the same package; Rover's unique contribution is his Spectro Frazzle volume and Shimmer.
Echo main stats: Crit DMG on Cost 4, Spectro DMG or ATK on both Cost 3 slots, and ATK on both Cost 1 slots. The page's comparison is mixed Spectro plus ATK at 100%, two Spectro pieces at 99.32%, and two ATK pieces at 97.89%. The spread is barely over two points, so better substats matter more.
Weapons
Rover Spectro has no signature weapon. The page's comparison uses the listed refinements and chooses the matching Cost 4 Crit main stat:
- Blazing Brilliance R1: 100%
- Emerald of Genesis R1: 92.59%
- Lunar Cutter R5: 79.81%
- Endless Collapse R5: 79.63%
- Commando of Conviction R5: 79.17%
- Lumingloss R5: 76.85%
Blazing Brilliance is the highest personal number because it can reach 56% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus, but that comparison targets a main-DPS Rover using Eternal Radiance. Both tested sub-DPS teams use Emerald of Genesis R1, whose Crit Rate, 12.8% Energy Regen, and Skill-triggered ATK fit the actual role. Use a spare Blazing Brilliance for the Skill-damage route, otherwise Emerald of Genesis or an owned Commando of Conviction R5 is the practical choice.
Team Fit & Account Value
His number 1 team is Phoebe, Rover Spectro, and Shorekeeper. Every other current composition is an alternative, and both tested structures use the same Rover rotation and build.
Phoebe main DPS
Phoebe's tested carry route uses Absolution, where repeated Heavy Attack: Starflash gains 256% DMG Amplification against a target with Spectro Frazzle. Absolution Phoebe applies only 1 stack herself through Absolution Litany because her heavy Frazzle application belongs to the mutually exclusive Confession state.
Rover supplies 10 stacks before she takes the field, and Shimmer stops them from decaying. Phoebe's page calculation assumes exactly 10 Spectro Frazzle stacks, which is precisely where Rover's loop lands.
Phoebe also wears Eternal Radiance here. Inflicting Spectro Frazzle grants 20% Crit Rate for 15 seconds, and attacking an enemy with 10 stacks grants 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15 seconds. The second effect is a hard threshold, so anything below 10 stacks receives nothing from that half.
Zani main DPS
Heliacal Ember makes Zani consume every nearby Spectro Frazzle stack as soon as it is inflicted, trigger its damage, convert it one-for-one into Heliacal Ember, and gain 5 Blaze per converted stack. Rover's Liberation therefore becomes 6 Embers and 30 Blaze, while each Spin adds 2 Embers and 10 Blaze before Zani takes the field.
Heliacal Ember still counts toward the Spectro Frazzle requirement for Eternal Radiance, so consuming the status does not remove the 10-stack threshold from Zani's set. Her Outro also amplifies the rest of the team's Spectro damage by 20% for 20 seconds, covering Rover's following loop.
Shimmer does nothing in this team. Zani consumes Frazzle immediately, leaving no stacks to preserve against natural decay. Shimmer's unique value belongs to the Phoebe structure, where the stacks wait on the enemy.
The alternative for Rover's slot
In the same Zani and Shorekeeper core, Phoebe is also tested in Rover's second slot and clearly wins it. Confession gives her independent Frazzle application, meaningful personal damage, and Silent Prayer: 10% Spectro RES reduction, 100% Spectro Frazzle DMG Amplification, and a 50% longer Frazzle damage interval.
If you own Phoebe, she is the better second slot for Zani, while Rover moves to the team where Phoebe is the carry. Owning Phoebe does not retire him; it separates them into the roles each performs better.
If you do not own Phoebe, Rover is the free version of that Zani slot and still performs the core job of supplying Frazzle and pre-charging Blaze.
His honest limits
- Both tested teams are Spectro Frazzle teams. He has no tested role outside that archetype and no generic support value.
- His Outro grants no native damage buff. The 22.5% ATK and 12% damage amplification come from Moonlit Clouds and Impermanence Heron.
- Shimmer lasts 9 seconds while Phoebe's tested on-field window is about 13.77 seconds, so the hold does not cover the end of her turn.
- He is free to own, but a complete Moonlit Clouds set, Crit DMG Cost 4, and usable sword still compete with broader supports for account investment.
Use the live Team DPS cards for current compositions, rankings, DPS, equipment, and rotations. Those mutable results update from the validated projection.
Sequence Value
Rover Spectro is complete at S0: Diminutive Sound, Resonating Spin, Shimmer, Resonating Echoes, and the 6-stack Liberation all work without a node. All six sequences are free, so there is no spending decision or stopping point. The page rates each one 5/5.
The personal damage chart is S0 100% → S1 108% → S2 120% → S3 120% → S4 120% → S5 127% → S6 141%.
- S1 — Odyssey of Beginnings (5/5): grants 15% Crit Rate for 7 seconds after Resonating Slashes or Resonating Spin. It is especially useful beside the 48% build target.
- S2 — Microcosmic Murmurs (5/5): grants 20% Spectro DMG Bonus, moving the chart from 108% to 120%.
- S3 — Visages of Dust (5/5): grants 20% Energy Regen. The chart stays at 120% because Energy Regen is not personal damage, but the node covers most of the 125% build target.
- S4 — Resonating Lamella (5/5): the Liberation restores team HP equal to 20% of Rover's ATK every second for 5 seconds. It adds sustain while the personal chart remains flat.
- S5 — Temporal Virtuoso (5/5): grants 40% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus, moving the chart from 120% to 127% in line with the Liberation's 35% damage share.
- S6 — Echoes of Wanderlust (5/5): Resonating Slashes and Resonating Spin reduce the target's Spectro RES by 10% for 20 seconds, producing the 127%-to-141% personal jump while also increasing Phoebe's and Zani's Spectro damage.
The flat chart stretch from S2 through S4 is not a dead zone. S3 pays out in build freedom and S4 in team healing, neither of which a personal damage chart can show.
Pull Value
There is nothing to pull. The decision is whether to spend Echo pieces, levelling items, and a sword on him.
Build Rover Spectro if:
- You play Phoebe as a main DPS and need a free Spectro Frazzle supplier with Shimmer.
- You play Zani and do not own Phoebe, letting Rover pre-charge her Blaze before she enters.
- You want a free character, free S6, no signature weapon requirement, and viable 4-Star swords.
- You prefer one short five-input loop that stays identical in both tested teams.
- You want a functioning early Spectro core before owning its premium alternatives.
Skip or delay Rover Spectro if:
- You do not play a Spectro Frazzle carry, because he has no tested role outside that archetype.
- You own Phoebe and want her specifically in the second slot behind Zani.
- Your Moonlit Clouds and Crit DMG Echo pieces are needed by a support used across more teams.
- You need a character who improves a broad account rather than Spectro Frazzle teams specifically.
