Review
Camellya review
Review updated:
Camellya is a 5-Star Havoc Sword main DPS who has been with the game since Version 1.4. She is a Basic Attack hypercarry: her kit funnels everything into Blossom Mode on the vines and the Budding Mode burst window that follows her Forte hit Ephemeral — 80.00% of her tested solo damage is Basic Attack, with Resonance Liberation at 10.32% and an Outro that deals damage but offers no buff. In her tested teams she is the carry, dealing anywhere from about 80% of the team's damage up to just over 90%.
The live Team DPS section is the authority for Camellya's current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, and rotations. It updates from the validated Team DPS projection instead of freezing those values in this review.
Quick Verdict
Camellya is a complete, functional main DPS: at S0 her whole Blossom and Budding Mode loop works, her best partner options include a 4-star most accounts own, and her rotation is one of the game's classics. The pulling advice, however, is simple: she is not worth pulling right now. She is one of the oldest limited carries in the game, and her tested teams sit at the bottom of the validated projection — the same investment goes further on a newer damage dealer. The rest of this review is for owners and returning players who want to build and play her correctly.
How Camellya Works
Camellya's game plan is simple to state: enter Blossom Mode, fill her gauges, and cash them into Ephemeral and the Budding Mode window.
Blossom Mode. Her Skill, Crimson Blossom, puts her on the vines: her Basic Attacks become Vining Waltz (with the Blazing Waltz hold extension out of Stage 3), her Skill becomes Floral Ravage, and everything in the mode is counted as Basic Attack DMG. Two conditions define the mode: she is suspended in place — she cannot move while on the vines, and staying there drains STA — and the mode ends on Floral Ravage or on her Jump variant. In practice, playing her well means picking safe windows against aggressive bosses before committing to the vines.
The gauges. Her attacks consume Crimson Pistils (100 maximum, refilled by her Intro and by Ephemeral) with a 150% Energy Regen multiplier; every 10 Pistils convert into Concerto Energy and a Crimson Bud (up to 10 at a time, each lasting 15s).
Ephemeral and Budding Mode. At full Concerto, her Forte Skill Ephemeral consumes 70 Concerto for a Basic-Attack-typed hit and opens Budding Mode: her attacks gain +50% DMG Multiplier (Sweet Dream), plus +5% more per Crimson Bud consumed, up to another +50%. This is her burst window, and it sits at the end of her rotation. Its hard rule: it ends the moment she swaps off the field, and she cannot build new Buds during it — once the window opens, it is played out on-field.
Her Outro, Twining, is a pure damage Outro — a solid hit, about 2.4 times stronger when cast after Ephemeral — that gives the next character no buff. Camellya is a pure carry, and her value lives entirely in her own damage.
Tested rotation — identical in all four tested teams, about 17 seconds of field time:
Intro > Skill (cancel with Liberation) > Liberation > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Hold Basic > Basic 4 > Basic 1, 2 > Forte Skill > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Hold Basic > Basic 4 > Basic 1, 2 > Skill (cancel with Outro) > Outro
It is a long rotation by current standards — one of the two longest in the tested data — and part of playing her is making those seconds count.
Build Priorities
Her tested solo damage profile: Basic Attack 80.00%, Resonance Liberation 10.32%, Outro 7.98%, Intro 1.71%. Every build decision follows from that Basic Attack wall.
Sub-stat priority: Crit Rate > Crit DMG > ATK% > Basic Attack DMG Bonus > Energy Regen.
Build targets: ATK around 2,550, Crit Rate 75%, Crit DMG 292%, Energy Regen 125%, Basic Attack DMG 43%.
Talent priority: Normal Attack, Resonance Skill, Forte Circuit, and Resonance Liberation to Lv. 10; Intro Skill to Lv. 6.
Her best weapon is Red Spring, her signature Sword, and the page puts it at 100%: Basic Attack DMG Bonus on dealing Basic Attack damage, and a larger Basic Attack bonus when Concerto Energy is consumed — which is exactly her Ephemeral cast. As a main DPS, her signature is the standing recommendation for anyone who plays her. Behind it sits the standard-banner Emerald of Genesis R1 at 86.87% (R5 at 90.10%) as the practical option.
Her Echo set is 5-piece Havoc Eclipse with Nightmare: Crownless as the main Echo — 12% Havoc DMG and 12% Basic Attack DMG in the main slot, and the set's stacking Havoc DMG on Basic Attacks matches her long Basic strings. The page's Cost 3 comparison is nearly flat: Havoc/ATK at 100%, ATK/ATK at 99.32%, and Havoc/Havoc at 97.95% — all within noise, so sub-stat quality decides.
Team Fit & Account Value
Her partners are chosen by one rule: who buffs Basic Attack damage, and how little field time they ask for.
- Roccia is her premium sub-DPS: her Outro grants 20% Havoc DMG Amplification and 25% Basic Attack DMG Amplification — both halves land on Camellya's profile — on a short rotation, and her Midnight Veil set adds more Havoc DMG for the incoming carry.
- Sanhua is the budget answer and fully tested: her Outro grants 38% Basic Attack DMG Deepen, a perfect match for that same 80% Basic Attack profile, at 4-star cost and with even less field time. The tested spread between the Roccia and Sanhua versions is small, which makes the free option the practical choice for most accounts.
- Shorekeeper holds the third slot in every tested version. Verina is the listed alternative sustain, and the page's synergy list also includes Cantarella and Danjin — Danjin's Outro grants 23% Havoc DMG Deepen, another on-profile budget option.
Use the live Team DPS section for the current compositions, ordering, DPS values, equipment, and rotations — it is the only source for those mutable results.
Her honest limits: her rotation is one of the two longest in the tested data, so she fits fewer full rotations inside endgame timers than modern carries; Blossom Mode holds her in place; Budding Mode ends on swap; her Outro gives teammates nothing; and she feeds no Negative Status or Tune mechanic, so the newer support cores have nothing to build on — which is why no tested team with them exists.
Sequence Value
Camellya is complete at S0 — Blossom Mode, Ephemeral, and the Budding Mode window all function without sequences. The page's sequence damage chart: S0 100% → S1 108% → S2 132% → S3 170% → S4 181% → S5 195% → S6 394%.
- S1 — Somewhere No One Travelled (3/5): Her Intro grants +28% Crit DMG for 18s, and Ephemeral becomes interruption-immune. Comfort plus a small bump (108%).
- S2 — Calling Upon the Silent Rose (5/5): Ephemeral's multiplier +120% — a solid jump on the hit that opens her burst window (132%).
- S3 — A Bud Adorned by Thorns (5/5): Liberation's multiplier +50%, and +58% ATK during Budding Mode. Her best early node (170%).
- S4 — Roots Set Deep In Eternity (2/5): Her Intro grants the team +25% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 30s — her only team buff, and it only helps Basic Attack teammates (181%).
- S5 — Infinity Held in Your Palm (2/5): Intro multiplier +303% and Outro multiplier +68% (195%). Real numbers on her smaller shares.
- S6 — Bloom For You Thousand Times Over (5/5): Sweet Dream's multiplier gains another +150%, and Perennial unlocks a second Ephemeral-strength hit that re-opens Budding Mode with the bonus raised to 250% — the 394% ceiling, for dedicated Camellya mains.
Realistic stopping points: S0 covers everything she does. Owners who play her regularly can consider S2–S3; there is no broader case for her sequences.
Pull Value
Pull Camellya if:
- You love the character herself — the design, the vines, the all-in playstyle — and you are pulling for that reason alone.
- You are collecting, and completion matters more to you than power.
That is the whole list — there is no power-based reason to pull her right now.
Skip or delay Camellya if:
- You want damage — newer limited carries deliver more at S0 with shorter rotations.
- You are an F2P or low spender counting every pull — even though her best budget partner is a 4-star, her tested teams sit at the bottom of the projection.
- You already own Roccia and think Camellya is her missing carry — it works the other way: Sanhua already fills that slot for free.
- You are returning to the game and remember her as a top DPS — she was, back in Version 1.4. The game has moved on; check the live Team DPS section before spending anything on her.
