Verina review
Review updated:
Verina is a 5-Star Spectro Rectifier general support built around Photosynthesis Energy, the Starflower Blooms heals, and the Photosynthesis Mark her Liberation leaves on the enemy. Her real output is not damage: in her tested Team DPS teams she accounts for roughly half a percent of team damage, and she is doing her job perfectly while dealing it. What she actually provides is a fixed package every team can use: 20% ATK to all party members from her Inherent Skill, 15% ATK to the entire team from Rejuvenating Glow, 15% all-Type DMG Deepen to everyone for 30 seconds from her Outro, continuous healing, and one free save from a fatal hit per fight. Judge her by that package, not by her damage numbers.
The live Team DPS section is the authority for Verina's current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, and rotations. It updates from the validated Team DPS projection instead of freezing those values in this review.
Quick Verdict
Build Verina. She is a standard-banner 5-Star and one of the five characters offered in the beginner selector, so most accounts already own her, and for a new account she is the correct pick from that selector. There is no team she cannot join and no carry whose mechanics she fails to satisfy: not one part of her kit has a condition attached to the carry. She gives ATK, healing, and a damage multiplier to whoever is standing there.
The honest other half is that a package with no conditions also has no ceiling. A support whose buffs key off a carry's specific mechanics can pay that carry far more than a fixed 20% ATK, so the specialist wins the slot whenever you own the right one. Verina is the support who is never wrong, not the support who pushes a team to its maximum.
At S0, Verina is complete. Every buff, the full heal loop, and the Outro work with zero sequences and zero weapon investment. Her sequences come from the standard banner, so you cannot target them; treat any of them as a bonus rather than a plan. If one arrives, S2 is the only node that changes how she plays, because it speeds up her rotation instead of only improving healing.
How Verina Works
Verina plays one short window, heals, drops her Liberation, and leaves. In her tested teams that window is about 4.5 seconds. Everything she does in it has three jobs: put the buffs up, put the heal engine down, and reach 100 Concerto so she can Outro out.
The resource: Photosynthesis Energy. Verina holds up to 4 stacks. She gains 1 stack from Basic Attack V on hit, 1 from Resonance Skill Botany Experiment on hit, and 1 from Intro Skill Verdant Growth on hit. All three say "on hit," so a Skill or Intro that misses a moving enemy gives her nothing, and a 4.5-second window leaves no time to recover it.
Spending it: Starflower Blooms. If she carries a stack, her Heavy Attack becomes Heavy Attack: Starflower Blooms and her Mid-air Attack becomes Mid-air Attack: Starflower Blooms. Either version consumes 1 stack, restores HP to all nearby party members (1188 + 29.75% of her ATK at talent level 10), and recovers 12 Concerto Energy. The Mid-air version is up to 3 consecutive attacks that count as one Mid-air Attack, so the full airborne string spends 1 stack, not one per hit. Converting a second stack needs a second Starflower Blooms cast: jump and press Basic Attack, or cast the Heavy version and press Basic Attack immediately to chain into the Mid-air version.
The heal engine: Photosynthesis Mark. Her Resonance Liberation Arboreal Flourish costs 175 Resonance Energy, has a 25-second cooldown, heals the whole team for 950 + 23.80% of her ATK, and applies a Photosynthesis Mark to the target it hits. The Mark lasts 12 seconds; while it is active, any nearby team member attacking that enemy makes Verina fire a Coordinated Attack off-field and heal the party members who dealt the damage for 428 + 10.71% of her ATK, at most once per second. The Mark lives on the enemy, not the team, so the healing stops if that enemy dies or you change targets. It is strongest against one boss and weakest in multi-wave content. Its 12-second duration against a 25-second Liberation cooldown also leaves roughly half of every rotation without off-field healing.
Getting out: the Concerto math. Her Outro is the most important buff, so the window is a race to 100 Concerto. Intro gives 10, Resonance Skill gives 30, Liberation gives 20, Variation R1 gives 8 once every 20 seconds, and each Photosynthesis Energy spent gives 12. Those fixed sources plus one spent stack put her at 80 of 100; her Basic Attacks and Echo cover the rest. None of these Concerto values scale with talent level.
Standard tested rotation — about 4.5 seconds, identical in both tested teams:
Intro > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Skill > Liberation > Echo > Jump > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Outro
Opening rotation without an Intro:
Basic 1, 2, 3 > Skill > Liberation > Echo > Jump > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Outro
The tested line converts only one of the two stacks she gathers and carries no Heavy Attack. It shows her stable team rotation, not the fastest possible exit. Having one line that does not change between teams is a genuine advantage on a character most players swap into many different compositions.
What the Outro delivers. "All Characters on nearby teams gain 15% all-Type DMG Deepen for 30s." It affects all characters rather than only the incoming one, covers every element and damage type, survives swapping, and lasts longer than either tested team's full rotation. That is why it covers off-field damage dealers that next-character Outro buffs miss. DMG Deepen is also its own multiplier, separate from elemental DMG Bonus. The healing half of the Outro, 19% of her ATK per second for 6 seconds, goes only to the next character.
The two free buffs. Inherent Skill II Grace of Life raises ATK for all party members by 20% for 20 seconds when she uses Heavy or Mid-air Starflower Blooms, her Liberation, or her Outro. Because the Outro itself triggers it, the buff is fresh when she leaves. Inherent Skill I Gift of Nature protects one party member from fatal damage and grants a shield equal to 120% of Verina's ATK for 10 seconds, once every 10 minutes — effectively once per fight.
Build Priorities
Verina's buffs do not scale with her stats. Grace of Life's 20% team ATK, Rejuvenating Glow's 15% team ATK, and her Outro's 15% all-Type DMG Deepen are fixed. ATK only feeds her healing and shield, while her personal damage is not worth building. A half-finished Verina therefore gives almost everything a fully built one does.
The one stat that affects team output is Energy Regen, because it decides whether the 175-Energy Arboreal Flourish is ready every rotation. Missing it loses the team heal, Photosynthesis Mark, 20 Concerto, and one Grace of Life trigger at once.
- Sub-stat priority: Energy Regen > ATK% > flat ATK. Crit is not a priority.
- Talent priority: Forte Circuit Lv. 10 and Resonance Liberation Lv. 10; Normal Attack, Resonance Skill, and Intro Skill Lv. 6.
All healing multipliers live in Forte Circuit and Liberation: Starflower Blooms healing rises from 625 + 14.17% ATK at Lv. 1 to 1188 + 29.75% ATK at Lv. 10, and Arboreal Flourish healing rises from 500 + 11.33% ATK to 950 + 23.80% ATK. The other talents only scale damage. The fixed 12, 30, 20, and 10 Concerto values never increase with talent level, so levelling her makes her heal harder, never rotate faster.
Echo set: Rejuvenating Glow. Its 2-piece grants 10% Healing, and healing an ally with the 5-piece raises the entire team's ATK by 15% for 30 seconds. Verina triggers it repeatedly inside her short window, and its team-wide duration reaches off-field damage dealers. Moonlit Clouds instead grants 22.5% ATK to the next Resonator for 15 seconds on Outro. That can be a larger number for an on-field carry directly after her, but it misses off-field damage and any third character later in the order, so Rejuvenating Glow is the reliable default and the set used in her tested teams.
Main Echo (Cost 4): Fallacy of No Return is the offensive pick. Its Echo Skill deals Spectro damage equal to 15.86% of max HP, then grants Verina 10% Energy Regen and all team members 10% ATK for 20 seconds. Bell-Borne Geochelone is the survival pick: it deals Glacio damage based on 145.92% of the current character's DEF and grants a 15-second shield with 50% DMG Reduction and 10% DMG Boost, but the shield disappears after the current character is hit 3 times. Use Fallacy when the fight is controlled and Bell-Borne when learning or surviving hard content.
Echo main stats:
ATK on Cost 4 feeds both healing and the Gift of Nature shield, while Healing Bonus only feeds healing. If Liberation is already ready every rotation, the Energy Regen Cost 3 can become a second ATK piece; if it is not, Energy Regen is the first problem to fix.
Weapon. Verina has no 5-Star signature and does not need one. Her tested teams use Variation R1: 337 ATK, 51.8% Energy Regen, and 8 Concerto on Resonance Skill once every 20 seconds. Both halves address her real gates, so it is the recommendation.
Stellar Symphony offers 412 ATK, 77% Energy Regen, 12% HP, and 8 Concerto on Liberation, but its headline 14% team ATK buff requires a Resonance Skill that heals. Botany Experiment does not heal, so Verina can never trigger that half; it is only an Energy Regen and Concerto stat stick for her. Budget alternatives are Jinzhou Keeper (387 ATK, 36.4% ATK, plus 8% ATK and 10% HP on Intro) when energy is stable, then Rectifier of Voyager (300 ATK, 32.3% Energy Regen, plus 8 Resonance Energy on Skill). Avoid Comet Flare: its 30.3% HP sub-stat does not scale any of Verina's healing.
Team Fit & Account Value
Verina's synergy list spans more than twenty characters across every element, which accurately reflects a support with no carry conditions. Of her current tested teams, the clear best is Aemeath (Rupture), Lynae and Verina; Xuanling, Mortefi and Verina is the tested alternative. Use the live Team DPS section for current compositions, ordering, DPS values, equipment, and rotations.
Verina is the third slot in both teams, behind a carry and sub-DPS doing the damage, and she uses the same set, weapon, and rotation in each. She is the slot for sustain when you do not own, or do not want to commit, a specialist support. Her number 1 tested team ranks first because of Aemeath and Lynae, not because that structure unlocks anything unique in her kit.
Where she is genuinely the right answer:
- Teams with off-field damage dealers: her 15% all-Type DMG Deepen and Rejuvenating Glow's 15% team ATK are team-wide and long-lived.
- Carries with unusual scaling: an ATK buff may miss an HP- or DEF-scaling carry, but DMG Deepen still multiplies their damage.
- Any team you are building for the first time: she is cheap, complete at S0, and effective with a 4-Star weapon.
- Content that punishes mistakes: Gift of Nature's fatal-damage save adds real safety on top of her healing.
Her honest limits:
- She costs about 4.5 seconds per rotation and contributes almost no personal damage.
- Her off-field healing is tied to one marked enemy and stops when that target dies, so fast multi-wave content works against it.
- The Mark lasts 12 seconds against a 25-second Liberation cooldown, leaving about half the rotation without coordinated healing.
- Her fixed buffs cannot grow with stats, sequences, or a weapon; what she gives at S0 on a 4-Star weapon is essentially her permanent ceiling.
- Her Skill and Intro must hit to grant Photosynthesis Energy; a miss costs a heal and 12 Concerto in a window with no slack.
Opportunity cost: her real cost is not Astrite or build investment, but the third team slot. A specialist built for the carry does more; when no specialist exists, or you need the slot solved immediately, Verina is the universal answer.
Sequence Value
Verina is complete at S0, and her standard-banner sequences cannot be targeted. Five of the six primarily improve healing on a character who already heals strongly at S0, so none is required.
- S1 — Moment of Emergence (4/5): Her Outro grants the next character continuous healing equal to 20% of Verina's ATK every 5 seconds for 30 seconds. It is the best healing node because it covers a full rotation, but it affects the next character rather than the whole team.
- S2 — Sprouting Reflections (5/5): Botany Experiment additionally grants 1 Photosynthesis Energy and 10 Concerto. The 10 Concerto is guaranteed; spending the extra stack supplies another 12 Concerto and team heal, for up to 22 Concerto in total. This is the only node that shortens her window and buys the carry more field time.
- S3 — The Choice to Flourish (3/5): Photosynthesis Mark healing +12%, a percentage increase to the smallest of her three heals.
- S4 — Blossoming Embrace (5/5): Heavy and Mid-air Starflower Blooms, Arboreal Flourish, and Blossom grant all team members 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 24 seconds. It is her largest offensive node but her only carry condition: excellent for Spectro, useless for every other element. Neither Aemeath nor Xuanling benefits; only Lynae receives it in the tested Aemeath team.
- S5 — Miraculous Blooms (3/5): Healing increases by 20% when Verina heals a team member below 50% HP. Emergency-only comfort.
- S6 — Joyous Harvest (3/5): Heavy and Mid-air Starflower Blooms deal 20% more damage and each triggers one Coordinated Attack that heals all nearby characters for the Photosynthesis Mark value (428 + 10.71% ATK). The damage is negligible, but the heal works while the Mark is absent and answers one of her limits — at the end of a six-sequence standard-banner climb.
Realistic stopping points: S0 for everyone. Be happy with S2 if the standard banner gives it to you, because it buys field time. S4 is valuable only for Spectro carries; everything else is extra comfort.
Pull Value
Pull Verina if:
- You are choosing from the beginner selector and want the pick that makes every future team functional.
- You want one support with no element, scaling-stat, or mechanic requirement.
- You run off-field damage dealers that next-character Outro buffs do not cover.
- You are short on resources and want an S0 support who performs on a 4-Star weapon with modest Echo quality.
- You want continuous healing and one fatal-damage save per fight as a safety net.
Skip or delay Verina if:
- You already own the specialist support for every team you use; they will normally push those carries higher.
- Your priority is fast multi-wave clearing, where the marked enemy keeps dying and switching off her sustain.
- You are hunting sequences; hers cannot be targeted and mostly improve healing she already has.
- You need the third slot to deal meaningful damage; Verina provides buffs and healing, not personal output.
