Lucilla

Dual-mode Glacio Rectifier support with personal Basic or Echo Skill damage.

Lucilla switches between a Glacio Chafe route and an Echo Skill route. Her mode changes her personal damage type, team amplification, Outro, and preferred weapons and Echoes, so the correct build depends on the carry she is supporting.

Review

Lucilla review

Review updated:

Lucilla is a 5-Star Glacio Rectifier support and sub-DPS built around two separate Resonance Modes. Glacio Chafe Mode supports Glacio Chafe teams and converts her important Reminiscence damage into Basic Attack damage. Echo Mode supports Echo Skill teams and converts those same actions into Echo Skill damage. In the tested Team DPS rotations she accounts for roughly 11.7–16.8% of her team's damage — a sub-DPS contribution, not a main DPS one.

Do not treat the two modes as one universal build. Her team amplification, Outro, weapon ranking, Echo route, and personal damage profile change with the selected mode.

The live Team DPS section is the authority for Lucilla's current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, and rotations. It updates from the validated Team DPS projection instead of freezing those values in this review.

Quick Verdict

Build Lucilla if you use a Glacio Chafe carry such as Hiyuki or an Echo Skill carry shown in the live Teams section. She is valuable because her mode-specific buffs are strong and her rotation also contributes personal damage. She is Hiyuki's best sub-DPS, and Hiyuki's number 1 team right now is Hiyuki with Lucilla and Suisui — more on this in Best Teams & Account Value.

At S0, her complete dual-mode support kit is already available. S2 is the first major team-investment node because Clear As Day adds 80% Glacio Chafe DMG Amplification in Glacio Chafe Mode or 40% Echo Skill DMG Amplification in Echo Mode. S6 is a personal-damage ceiling rather than a requirement.

How Lucilla Works

Lucilla builds Trace through Intro, Spotlight, and her Basic Attack Stage 3 outcomes. Every 50 Trace creates one Photo, and she can hold three Photos. Clear As Day becomes available at three Photos, consumes no Resonance Energy, and enters Reminiscence.

During Reminiscence, her Basic Attack chain becomes Tracing Forms. Stage 3 consumes Photos through Oblivion, then releasing or finishing the chain casts Letting It Go and ends Reminiscence. Her standard tested route is compact:

Intro > Hold Skill > Echo > Liberation > Hold Basic to consume the 3 Photos > Outro

One tested detail worth knowing: this exact rotation is the same in all twelve of her tested teams — the only difference is speed, and that comes down to one timing trick in her Focus Ring. When Lucilla holds her Resonance Skill (or holds Normal Attack during Basic Stage 3), a ring appears with a cursor moving around it, and inside it a smaller Perfect Focus zone — the yellow area you see in game. Releasing the button while the cursor is inside the yellow zone gives the better version of the hit: Spotlight from the Skill (more damage, 50 Trace instead of 25, 20 Concerto Energy, and 1 extra Glacio Chafe stack in Glacio Chafe Mode) or Commendable from Basic Stage 3. Releasing outside it gives the weaker Compensate or Unremarkable version. If you simply keep holding, the ring fills by itself and fires the good version anyway.

That release timing is what the "fast rotation" is. The normal-speed version — about 8.3 seconds of field time, difficulty 0 — just holds the Skill after the Intro until the ring fills on its own. The fast version — about 7.3 seconds, difficulty 2, used in her strongest teams — releases the moment the pointer enters the yellow Perfect Focus zone. Same Spotlight hit, same Trace, roughly a second saved. Missing the zone gives you the weaker Compensate instead, so the fast route is worth practicing until the release is consistent. (Her Sigrika and Galbrena fast teams run about 0.2 seconds slower again, because the Moonlit Clouds Heron Echo adds cast time.)

The important choice is the active Resonance Mode. Glacio Chafe Mode creates Film Roll, adds more Glacio Chafe applications, changes Clear As Day and Letting It Go to Basic Attack damage, and gives a 60% Glacio Chafe DMG Amplification Outro for 30 seconds. Echo Mode creates Zoom, changes those actions to Echo Skill damage, and gives the incoming character 50% Echo Skill DMG Amplification for 14 seconds.

A connection worth understanding: in Glacio Chafe Mode, when a teammate inflicts Glacio Chafe, Lucilla consumes Film Roll — so teammates who apply Chafe (Hiyuki, and Suisui through her Plume Steps) actively feed her mode's engine. Note that she consumes her own Film Roll resource, not the enemy's Glacio Chafe stacks.

Build Priorities

Lucilla's tested targets use 77.8% Crit Rate, 275% Crit DMG, 100% Energy Regen, and either 2428 ATK with ATK/Glacio Cost 3 pieces or 2139 ATK with double Glacio Cost 3 pieces. The current Basic Attack DMG target is 20-35%.

Freeze Frame R1 is the 100% baseline in both tested modes. Behind it at R1: Whispers of Sirens at 90.07%, Lethean Elegy at 89.85%, Stringmaster at 86.45%, Rime-Draped Sprouts at 84.25%, Luminous Hymn at 82.74%, and Cosmic Ripples at 76.84%. The remaining Rectifiers change order between modes, so use the matching weapon table instead of carrying one ranking across both builds. She is a sub-DPS, so her signature is good but skippable — the alternatives cover most of her contribution.

For Glacio Chafe Mode, the approved route is 5-piece Wishes of Quiet Snowfall with Glommoth — tested at 100% with 2 Glacio Cost 3 and 98.91% with Glacio/ATK. For Echo Mode, the highest tested personal-damage route combines 2-piece Wishes of Quiet Snowfall with 3-piece Dream of the Lost, at 100% with 2 Glacio Cost 3 and 98.29% with Glacio/ATK. The Moonlit Clouds route sits around 80% for Lucilla's personal damage but remains a team-buff alternative — and it is the set she uses in the tested Sigrika and Galbrena teams, where the buff matters more than her own damage.

One support route worth knowing from Hiyuki's review: when Lucilla wears Wishes of Quiet Snowfall for Hiyuki, triggering Snowfall and then using Outro gives the incoming Resonator 25% Glacio DMG Bonus for 15 seconds instead of the wearer's Crit Rate route. Only one Snowfall removal route can trigger each time.

Best Teams & Account Value

Her headline team is Hiyuki's number 1 team: Hiyuki with Lucilla and Suisui. She is Hiyuki's best sub-DPS — she deals real damage of her own, applies Glacio Chafe for Hiyuki's Snow Rust and Glacio Bite needs, and feeds on Hiyuki's and Suisui's Chafe application through Film Roll. Lynae is the tested alternative behind her for the same sub-DPS slot; the live cards show the difference between the two in the current projection. There is also a tested (No Weapon) variant of this team with Suisui on Variation, so the core does not depend on limited weapons beyond her own Freeze Frame alternatives.

Use the live Team DPS section for the current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, equipment, and rotations. Those cards update from the validated Team DPS projection and are the only source for mutable team results on this page.

Beyond Hiyuki, her Echo Mode teams with Sigrika and Galbrena are tested in both normal and fast versions, running Moonlit Clouds for the team buff. Older Hiyuki structures with Chisa, Mornye, or Shorekeeper in the third slot also remain tested — Chisa being the strongest of those alternatives, and the one whose Bane application gives Hiyuki her second Snow Rust stack in the first rotation.

Her account value is therefore specific rather than universal. She is excellent when your carry directly uses Glacio Chafe or Echo Skill amplification. If none of your teams use either route, a broader support is usually easier to justify. Also note the queue problem: her best team wants Suisui, and Suisui is wanted by Xuanling's number 1 team as well.

Sequence Value

Lucilla is complete at S0 — both modes, her Outro amplification, and her full Reminiscence loop function without sequences. The page has two sequence damage charts, one per mode: Glacio Chafe Mode: S0 100% → S2 120% → S6 502% and Echo Mode: S0 100% → S2 131% → S6 733% — the S6 numbers are personal-damage ceilings, which is why they dwarf the early nodes.

  • S1: Comfort plus personal consistency. Perfect Focus expands immediately the first time the cursor lands inside it, Spotlight gives 20% Crit Rate for 10 seconds, and Phantom Frame plus Tracing Forms Stage 3 gain interruption immunity.
  • S2: The first major support stopping point. Clear As Day adds 80% Glacio Chafe DMG Amplification or 40% Echo Skill DMG Amplification based on the active mode, lasting through Reminiscence and for 30 seconds afterward.
  • S3: Doubles the DMG Multiplier increase of Letting It Go by adding 100%.
  • S4: Oblivion pulls nearby targets, grants up to three 10% ATK stacks for 6 seconds, and gives 30% damage reduction during Tracing Forms Stage 3.
  • S5: Adds 50% to Oblivion's DMG Multiplier.
  • S6: Each Photo consumed in Reminiscence adds one Remembrance stack. Each stack raises Letting It Go's damage dealt by 200%, up to 600%, then all stacks are removed when Letting It Go is cast.

Pull Value

Pull or build Lucilla if:

  • You play Hiyuki or another Glacio Chafe carry — she is Hiyuki's best sub-DPS.
  • You own or plan to pull Suisui: Hiyuki's number 1 team is Hiyuki with Lucilla and Suisui, and the two feed each other's Chafe mechanics.
  • You play an Echo Skill carry that uses her mode-specific amplification.
  • You want a support who also contributes meaningful personal damage.
  • You are comfortable selecting the correct mode and build before the rotation.

Skip or delay Lucilla if:

  • Your current carries do not use Glacio Chafe or Echo Skill damage.
  • You want one universal support build with no mode or equipment changes.
  • You would need to remove a more important support core from another team.
