Phrolova floats in the air and commands Hecate to fight. Hecate will share Phrolova's stats and statuses, and damage dealt by Hecate will be considered coming from Phrolova. Hecate's attacks will not remove the target's Hazy Dream state.
During this period, Phrolova plays the Volatile Notes in turn. Each holds for 4s.
If Phrolova is the active Resonator on the field, she can give the following cues to Hecate. Any damage taken by Hecate in this state affects Phrolova as well.
Cue - Basic Attack: Press Normal Attack to command Hecate to cast Basic Attack - Hecate. When Phrolova is the active Resonator on the field, for every 2 times Hecate casts Basic Attack - Hecate, the next Basic Attack - Hecate is replaced with Enhanced Attack - Hecate.
Cue - Dodge: Press Dodge to command Hecate to dodge an attack. Hecate takes no damage from a hit successfully Dodged.
Cue - Reset: Press Jump to reset Hecate's position.
Cue - Curtain Call: Press Resonance Liberation to command Hecate to cast Curtain Call and end the state.
When Phrolova is not the active Resonator, Hecate takes no damage and automatically casts Basic Attack - Hecate to attack the target. When Resonators in the team cast Echo Skill, Hecate casts Enhanced Attack - Hecate to attack the target. This effect can be triggered up to 10 times in total during Phrolova's state. Echoes of the same name can trigger this effect 1 times.
Switching back to Phrolova ends state.
Ending state removes all Volatile Notes.

Relative damage
Performance statistics use optimal Cost 4 main stats. If the weapon provides Crit Rate, Cost 4 Crit DMG is used. If it provides Crit DMG, Cost 4 Crit Rate is used. If it provides neither, Cost 4 Crit Rate is used by default.

Lethean Elegy R1
ATK 587Crit Rate 24.3%
This is Phrolova's best weapon and provides a significantly larger damage boost than the alternatives. Dealing Echo Skill DMG grants 32% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus, 32% Echo Skill DMG Amplification, and 8% DEF Ignore. Stringmaster remains the best fallback if her signature is unavailable.
Weapon effect

Stringmaster R1
ATK 500Crit Rate 36%
Reducing the build's Crit Rate by 10% raises Stringmaster's relative value from 82.9% to 86%. It is a strong alternative with useful Crit Rate, ATK, and 12% Havoc DMG Bonus. The ATK is less valuable during Maestro because Phrolova already gains 120% ATK there.
Weapon effect

Whispers of Sirens R1
ATK 500Crit DMG 72%
Phrolova benefits from the weapon's ATK and Crit DMG, but Basic Attack contributes only around 5% of her total damage. Its second passive is awkward because Scarlet Coda is the second Echo Skill and the last hit in her rotation, so switching afterward ends the effect before she can use it.
Weapon effect

Rime-Draped Sprouts R1
ATK 500Crit DMG 72%
Phrolova does not gain much from this weapon's Basic Attack-focused passive, but she can still use its ATK and high Crit DMG.
Weapon effect

Luminous Hymn R1
ATK 500Crit Rate 36%
Phrolova cannot use the Spectro Frazzle effect, but she can use the weapon's ATK and Crit Rate. It is serviceable, though it is designed for more specialized users.
Weapon effect

Augment R5
ATK 412Crit Rate 20.2%
Augment provides Crit Rate and a large ATK buff after Liberation. The ATK is less valuable because Liberation sends Phrolova into Maestro, where she already has 120% ATK. Its Crit Rate is the main reason to use it.
Weapon effect

Cosmic Ripples R1
ATK 500ATK 54%
Its Basic Attack buffs are low value for Phrolova. The weapon provides substantial ATK, but Maestro already gives her 120% ATK, and Cosmic Ripples provides no Crit Rate or Crit DMG.
Weapon effect

Fusion Accretion R5
ATK 462ATK 18.2%
This option is packed with ATK and Energy, but Energy is useless on Phrolova and the extra ATK has limited value. It is mainly an early-game fallback for farming Echoes.

Review
Phrolova review
Review updated:
Phrolova is a 5-Star Havoc Rectifier damage dealer built around Volatile Notes, Scarlet Coda, and a 24-second state called Maestro, where she commands Hecate — on the field or, as she is usually played, off it. Her damage mixes Echo Skill damage (Hecate's attacks) and Resonance Skill damage (Scarlet Coda and her finishers): in the page's tested breakdowns, Echo Skill hits account for 42.56%–58.33% of her damage and Resonance Skill hits for 37.94%–51.55%, depending on how many Echo Skills her team casts. Two structural facts shape everything about her: her maximum Resonance Energy is 0, so her Liberation costs nothing and Energy Regen is worthless on her, and her off-field damage scales with how many Echo Skills her teammates cast. In the tested Team DPS rotations she is the main damage dealer, accounting for about 50%–63% of her team's damage in the first rotation and rising to roughly 62%–77% by the third — she ramps, and Sequence Value explains why.
The live Team DPS section is the authority for Phrolova's current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, and rotations. It updates from the validated Team DPS projection instead of freezing those values in this review.
Quick Verdict
Build Phrolova if you like her and you can give her teammates who cast a lot of Echo Skills — Cantarella, Qiuyuan, and Roccia are the tested names, and her number 1 team is Phrolova with Qiuyuan and Cantarella. Without Echo-cast teammates, a real chunk of her damage simply never happens — more on this in Team Fit & Account Value. She is also one of the easiest carries on the site to play at full efficiency: her tested rotation is difficulty 0 and identical in every team. Two honest caveats: she is an older carry (Version 2.5), and newer damage dealers are simply stronger — but she remains good enough, and because Hecate keeps dealing consistent damage the whole time she is off-field, she is one of the better carries for Whimpering Wastes specifically.
At S0 her kit is already complete — the full note loop, Maestro, and her Outro all function without sequences. S2 is the first major stopping point — the page's sequence chart jumps to 147% there (with a caveat explained in Sequence Value). S6 is a whale ceiling, reaching 286% on the same chart.
How Phrolova Works
Her rotation has two phases: a short on-field setup, then a long off-field payoff.
The setup — Volatile Notes and Scarlet Coda. Phrolova builds Volatile Notes (up to 6): Basic Attack Stage 3 grants a Strings note, her Resonance Skill grants a Winds note, and her Intro and Echo Skill grant a Cadenza note through her Inherent Skill. Roughly every 25 seconds she enters the Compose state, and with 6 notes in Compose, her Heavy Attack becomes Scarlet Coda: a heavy hit that Stagnates and pulls nearby targets, is considered Resonance Skill damage, gains damage multiplier from every Aftersound stack she holds, and — a small clause with big consequences — casting it counts as casting an Echo Skill. Casting it opens the Resolving Chord state, which unlocks her Liberation.
The payoff — Maestro and Hecate. Her Liberation, Waltz of Forsaken Depths, costs no energy (her maximum is 0) and can only be cast in Resolving Chord. It puts her in the Maestro state for 24 seconds: she gains +120% ATK, floats above the fight, and commands Hecate, which shares her stats and whose damage counts as hers. The tested way to play this is to Outro immediately. Off the field, Hecate is untouchable and attacks on its own — and every time a Resonator in the team casts an Echo Skill, Hecate fires an Enhanced Attack (Echo Skill damage), up to 10 times per Maestro. Which Enhanced Attack fires depends on the notes she played: Strings Stagnates, Winds pulls, Cadenza does both. Her Outro itself matters twice: the incoming Resonator gains 20% Havoc DMG Amplification and 25% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification for 14 seconds (ending early if that character swaps out), and if she Outros during Maestro, Hecate casts 2 additional Enhanced Attacks while she is gone.
Aftersound — why she ramps. Every off-field Enhanced Hecate attack grants 1 Aftersound stack (up to 24), she enters battle with 10 free stacks from her Inherent Skill, and each stack is worth +2.5% Crit DMG. Stacks persist between rotations — they are only removed after 30 seconds out of combat — so Phrolova gets stronger the longer a fight runs, which is exactly what the tested team cards show: her damage share climbs from the first rotation to the third in every team. Stacks gained beyond the cap add +1% Crit DMG each, up to a total of +100%.
One rule to respect: switching back to Phrolova ends Maestro early, taking unplayed notes with it. The tested rotations never do this — she Outros, Hecate plays out the full 24 seconds off-field, and her next appearance opens with her Enhanced Intro (Suite of Immortality, empowered by the previous Maestro).
Her tested rotation — the same string in all five of her tested teams, difficulty 0, about 11 seconds of field time:
First rotation: Basic 1, 2, 3 > Skill > Echo > Skill > Skill > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Skill > Heavy (Scarlet Coda) > Liberation > Outro
Later rotations: Enhanced Intro > Basic 3 > Skill > Echo > Skill > Skill > Basic 1, 2, 3 > Skill > Heavy (Scarlet Coda) > Liberation > Outro
There is exactly one rotation to learn, and nothing in it is hard — the depth is in what your teammates do while she is off-field.
Build Priorities
Phrolova's tested damage profile depends on her team's Echo-cast count, and the page prints all three scenarios: with 8 Enhanced Hecate hits (Cantarella and Roccia) she deals Echo Skill 58.33% / Resonance Skill 37.94% / Basic Attack 3.73%; with 7 hits (Cantarella team) it is 51.26% / 43.74%; with only 4 hits (neither of them) it flips to 42.56% / 51.55%. Two consequences: Echo Skill and Resonance Skill buffs both always cover most of her damage, and teammates who cast Echo Skills are not a luxury — they are a third of her damage profile.
- Sub-stat priority: Crit Rate > Crit DMG > ATK% > Skill DMG Bonus. No Energy Regen — she cannot spend energy, so every ER roll is wasted.
- Build targets: ATK 2150–2250 with Havoc/Havoc Cost 3 (2400–2560 with ATK/Havoc), Crit Rate 74%–78%, Crit DMG 270%–275%, Skill DMG Bonus 20%–35%.
- Talent priority: Normal Attack, Forte Circuit, and Resonance Liberation to 10; Resonance Skill and Intro Skill to 6.
Her best weapon is Lethean Elegy, her signature Rectifier, and the page puts Lethean Elegy R1 at 100% with a real gap to everything else. The passive fits her exactly: after dealing Echo Skill damage she gains 32% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus, 32% Echo Skill DMG Amplification, and 8% DEF ignore — both of her damage types covered by one trigger. She is the main damage dealer in her teams, so the standing recommendation is to get her signature. The best fallback is Stringmaster R1 at 82.90% — rising to about 86% if you trim 10% Crit Rate from the build to account for its Crit Rate main stat — then Whispers of Sirens R1 at 82.70%, whose Basic Attack passive is mostly wasted (Basic Attacks are about 5% of her damage) and ends early on swap. One pattern to know when reading the lower options: ATK-buff weapons like Augment and Cosmic Ripples look strong on paper but are devalued here, because Maestro already grants +120% ATK — ATK is the one stat Phrolova never lacks.
Her Echo set is 3-piece Dream of the Lost with Nightmare: Hecate as the main Echo, paired with a Havoc 2-piece (Midnight Veil). The 3-piece reads "holding 0 Resonance Energy grants 20% Crit Rate and 35% Echo Skill DMG Bonus" — and since her maximum energy is permanently 0, the set is always fully active; it is effectively written for her. Nightmare: Hecate adds 12% Havoc DMG and 20% Echo Skill DMG in the main slot.
For main stats: Crit DMG on Cost 4 (her signature provides Crit Rate), Havoc DMG on both Cost 3, ATK on both Cost 1. The page's comparison — calculated without team buffs — puts Havoc/Havoc at 100% and Havoc/ATK at 96.90%, a clear enough gap that double Havoc is the default; only run ATK/Havoc when the sub-stats are much better.
Team Fit & Account Value
Her number 1 tested team is Phrolova with Qiuyuan and Cantarella, and the reason is arithmetic. Maestro allows 10 off-field Enhanced Hecate attacks per rotation, triggered by Echo Skill casts — and this team reaches exactly 10: 2 from her own Outro, 4 from Qiuyuan (his Echo plus his three Forte heavies, each counted as an Echo Skill cast), and 4 from Cantarella, whose kit repeatedly counts as casting Echo Skills. No other tested structure fills the bar. One team note to know: Qiuyuan can run a faster rotation by canceling his Skill, but at around 130% Energy Regen that leaves him unable to cast his Liberation in the second rotation — let his Skill animation play.
The buffs in this team need an honest explanation, because Outro amplifications only cover the active Resonator: they go to the incoming character and are removed the moment that character swaps out. Phrolova's payoff happens off-field, after her own Outro — so an Outro amp can never cover Hecate's off-field hits, no matter who casts it. In this team the Outros circulate Phrolova → Qiuyuan → Cantarella → Phrolova, and what Phrolova receives is Cantarella's Outro (20% Havoc and 25% Resonance Skill DMG Amplification): it covers her on-field setup, Scarlet Coda included, and then ends when she swaps out. What keeps buffing the off-field Hecate hits instead are the persistent team-wide buffs — Qiuyuan's Law of Harmony set (up to 16% Echo Skill DMG Bonus for the whole team, and his 4 Echo casts reach its 4-stack cap by himself) and his weapon's team Echo Skill DMG bonus. The tested equipment makes the same point: with an on-field carry like Galbrena, Qiuyuan wears Moonlit Clouds, whose ATK buff rides his Outro to the next Resonator; with Phrolova he wears Law of Harmony, because her damage continues after her Outro.
Lucilla is not in any tested Phrolova team in the current projection, but she fits the same slot perfectly on mechanics, and she is worth naming. In Echo Mode, her three Oblivion Forte hits are each considered as casting a different Echo Skill — so each one triggers an Enhanced Hecate attack even under the same-name-Echo limit — and her own main-slot Echo is a fourth cast. That is the same 4 casts Qiuyuan provides, so a Lucilla structure should perform almost the same as the Qiuyuan one, with the same edge she brings to Galbrena's teams: her Intro applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe even in Echo Mode, which switches on game-mode buffs keyed to Negative Statuses (see Galbrena's review for the full explanation). Her Echo Mode Outro amp carries the same swap-out limitation as every Outro buff here — it would cover Phrolova's setup window, not her off-field damage. Treat this as mechanics, not tested data, until the projection covers it.
The tested alternatives step down in order of Echo casts. Phrolova with Cantarella and Roccia is the mono-Havoc structure, where the Outros circulate Phrolova → Roccia → Cantarella → Phrolova: Roccia's Outro (20% Havoc and 25% Basic Attack DMG Amplification) lands on Cantarella, whose own damage is Basic Attack-typed, and Cantarella's Outro covers Phrolova's on-field window the same way as in her number 1 team. Phrolova with Cantarella and Shorekeeper and Phrolova with Qiuyuan and Shorekeeper both work; the Qiuyuan version's team note flags that using his Liberation at the very start desynchronizes his cooldowns, so the first and third rotations carry some wasted time while the second and fourth run clean. Galbrena and Phrolova with Qiuyuan is the tested dual-carry structure — Phrolova plays the second-carry role there (7 Enhanced hits per rotation: 2 from her Outro, 4 from Qiuyuan, 1 from Galbrena's Echo), and the same team appears in Galbrena's review from her side.
Use the live Team DPS section for the current tested compositions, ordering, DPS values, equipment, and rotations — those cards update from the validated projection and are the only source for mutable team results.
Her honest limits: her damage is capped by her teammates' Echo-cast count — without Cantarella, Qiuyuan, or Roccia, the page's own breakdown drops to 4 Enhanced hits and she loses roughly a third of her off-field output. Her Outro's ideal recipient — a Havoc, Heavy Attack carry, the profile its 20% Havoc and 25% Heavy Attack Amplification is made for (the synergy list points to Rover Havoc and Danjin) — has no tested team in the current projection, so that support route is theory, not tested data; in her tested teams the Outro's real value is the 2 extra Enhanced Hecate hits. And opportunity cost cuts both ways: Qiuyuan is wanted by Galbrena's teams, and Cantarella by other Havoc cores.
Sequence Value
Phrolova is complete at S0 — the note loop, Scarlet Coda, Maestro, Aftersound, and her Outro all function without sequences. The page's sequence damage chart: S0 100% → S1 111% → S2 147% → S3 178% → S4 195% → S5 195% → S6 286%. One honest caveat from the page's calculation notes: the chart assumes 8 Enhanced Hecate hits and average first-rotation Aftersound — the S2 value specifically is 120% in a first rotation and rises toward 147% only as Aftersound builds up over a fight.
- S1 — A Key to Netherworld's Secrets (3/5): +80% damage multiplier on both Reincarnate finishers (Movement of Fate and Finality, Murmurs in a Haunting Dream), plus automatic Cadenza note generation when she stays out of combat. Real damage on two of her on-field hits, but those hits are not where most of her damage lives.
- S2 — A Rope Tied to a Life Beyond (5/5): The first major stopping point. Scarlet Coda gains +75% damage multiplier, Aftersound increases its multiplier by another 75%, and casting it grants 14 Aftersound stacks — which is also +35% Crit DMG from her Inherent Skill and a permanently faster ramp for the rest of the fight. This is the chart's jump past 147%.
- S3 — A Dagger to Cut Clean Obsessions (5/5): Echo Skill damage Amplified by 80% — a direct multiplier on the entire Hecate half of her kit — and Scarlet Coda converts all Volatile Notes to Cadenza, whose hits also cut the target's ATK by 20% for 15 seconds.
- S4 — A Torch Illuminating the Path (3/5): Casting an Echo Skill gives the whole team +20% Attribute DMG Bonus for 30 seconds. Her only team buff — good, but a luxury node.
- S5 — A Forked Road in Fate's Heartland (2/5): Defensive comfort: a 4-second Stagnation field on entering Maestro and 30% damage reduction during it. The chart does not move at all (195% → 195%).
- S6 — A Night to Depart From Eternal Rest (5/5): Her whale ceiling. Enhanced Hecate attacks gain +24% multiplier, her two finishers command an extra Apparition hit that grants 8 more Aftersound, and Maestro gets a final form either way: off-field, targets take 40% more damage from Hecate and Phrolova; on-field, she gains 60% Havoc DMG Bonus. This is the 286% on the chart.
For most players S0 is enough; S2 is the efficient vertical investment; S3 is the second stop for dedicated mains.
Pull Value
Pull Phrolova if:
- You like her and want a Havoc carry — for a DPS, enjoying the character comes first.
- You own or plan to pull Cantarella, Qiuyuan, or Lucilla — her damage is built on their Echo Skill casts, and her number 1 team uses two of them.
- You want a carry who is easy to play at full efficiency — one tested rotation, difficulty 0, identical in every team.
- You play Whimpering Wastes — Hecate keeps dealing consistent damage the entire time she is off-field, which is exactly what that mode rewards.
- You want an account with no Energy Regen worries — she cannot use energy, and her best set is permanently active.
- You can get Lethean Elegy — she is her team's main damage dealer, and the signature gap is real.
Skip or delay Phrolova if:
- You want the newest and strongest options — she is an older character (Version 2.5), and the newest carries outperform her in Whimpering Wastes and the other endgame modes, even though she still clears.
- Your account has no Echo-cast teammates for her and you will not build one — without them, a third of her damage never happens.
- You want a support for a Havoc Heavy Attack carry — that Outro route has no tested team behind it yet.
- You already have a built Havoc core and your account needs elemental coverage more than another Havoc damage dealer.
