The only weapon that should be used on Rover (Aero) is Bloodpact’s Pledge.
For the optimal build, and the stats used to calculate set comparisons, the Echo rolls considered are:
– Crit Rate 8.1%
– Crit DMG 16.2%
– ATK 8.6%
– Skill DMG Bonus 8.6%
Cartethyia’s Windward Pilgrimage is technically the best set for Rover (Aero), but only if Ciaccona is part of the team. The set provides a Crit Rate bonus when attacking enemies affected by Aero Erosion. Without Ciaccona, no one applies Aero Erosion, which makes the set ineffective in standard rotations. If you actively use Cartethyia’s Skill to apply Aero Erosion before switching to Rover, you can still activate the bonus—so it ultimately depends on your playstyle and team setup.
If Ciaccona is not in the team, the Sieraa Gale set is a practical choice. While designed for Jiyan, it performs well on Rover (Aero) and is often the easiest alternative since many players already have it built. Realistically, Rover (Aero) is not a powerhouse, but as a free-to-play character you should still aim to squeeze as much value as possible from him. That said, it is not worth pouring heavy resources into optimizing his build. If you want extra damage, follow the setups mentioned above, but manage expectations.
Set Commentary:
Sieraa Gale is the most recommended option, especially since most players already have it prepared from Jiyan. For new players, Moonlit Clouds can be used instead, providing Cartethyia with a small buff from the Heron Echo. Another option is Rejuvenating Glow, which emphasizes Rover (Aero)’s healing, since he also supports the team this way. Windward Pilgrimage is still his so-called “optimal” set, but it is not worth the investment unless you specifically want to maximize his damage.
Most of Rover (Aero)’s damage comes from his Skill, so prioritizing Skill DMG% substats is the best approach. On top of that, Crit Rate and Crit DMG remain essential if you want his personal damage to feel meaningful.
